Erin is the owner and lead makeup artist and hair stylist of Erin Smith Beauty Creations, LLC and is one of the leading Chicago companies who specializes in bridal makeup artistry and hair, specifically, Hollywood waves, big boho bridal braids, & textured updos. She is an award winning and published on site wedding makeup artist and hair stylist, based in the Montgomery, Illinois area. She has traveled all over northern Illinois, Chicago, as well as Colorado, Wisconsin, Michigan, New Mexico and Florida to beautify wedding parties and offer the best bridal makeup artistry and hair glam experience possible! Erin is a wife, a mom, and a friend to her clients. Our Chicago makeup artist and hair team and brand has created a movement to build relationships, loyalty and truly personalize each groups experience from the first conversation to the special wedding day!
erin's story
Erin has done makeup artistry and hair since she can remember; even on fishing trips, road trips and other events she would practice her craft on friends and family. Most the friends, family and church community that attended dances and later got married had Erin as the artist. After receiving formal training, she proceeded to win a national award in a long hair design competition. Erin moved forward in her career and life not only wanting more freedom and flexibility for her family, but also the opportunity to offer a more custom experience for brides and growth opportunities for her chicago makeup artist and hair team. Empowering and beautifying women inside and out has been the true compassion and goal. Of course she did the hair for her own wedding day for herself and bridesmaids to ensure the happiness and quality.
She and her team have styled for numerous Chicago land weddings and has received some of highest caliber of bridal hair education around the world. She is passionate about making her clients feel pampered, and beautiful from the inside out.
They offer virtual hair consultations, in-person bridal makeup artist and hair trials at her studio and 100% human hair extensions as an option for those desiring extra needed volume and length for their beautiful bridal hair. They also discuss detailed makeup options, including lashes, airbrushing and skin prep options. They ascertain each client’s desired aesthetic and personal style to create their dream look. She and her Chicago makeup artist and hair team will travel to your chosen getting ready location, and tend to you and your wedding party on the morning of your most important day.

Perfect Hair

Bride/bridal party hair and makeup DREAM!
Erin and her team did the hair and makeup for myself, my mother, and my 7 bridesmaids on my wedding day in June 2022. Each one of us had a special, personalized experience and looked amazing, no matter which “look” we were hoping for! Erin and her team were versatile, personable, skilled, and did a great job. We didn’t have a thing to worry about all morning, and were able to embrace the excitement of the day! Erin will make sure to uphold your vision for your big day, and she’s got your back! We even had a great time during my hair/makeup trial before the wedding. I’m truly lucky to have had her as one of my vendors!

Fantastic!!
Erin just did my hair and makeup for my wedding this past weekend. I planned my wedding from start to finish in 7 months…during the “busiest wedding season ever”…which made it a struggle to find and book venders. From the start, Erin responded to my initial emails very quickly, and I was even able to schedule a trial pretty quickly too. She was even able to move up the time of my trial by a couple hours (with only a couple hours notice) without any issue. She is super responsive to all communication, flexible, and her work is fantastic. All of my bridesmaids have hair that has literally never really held a curl for more than a couple hours (tops), and yet somehow, Erin worked some kind of magic and every single bridesmaid still had hair looking just as good and curled 12+ hours later after pictures (including outdoors), the ceremony, and throughout the reception! We all got lots of compliments on our hair and makeup throughout the day. Also, all of my bridesmaids commented on how gentle her touch is while doing hair (literally), including a bridesmaid with a sensitive scalp due to a somewhat recent head injury. They all said they never had to their hair done without any kind of tugging or discomfort before (and I agree) until Erin did their hair haha (but really). Anyways, her work was amazing (and efficient - we ran comfortably ahead of schedule the morning of the wedding!), and she was easily one of the easiest vendors I worked with throughout my whole wedding planning process. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Highly recommend!!
Erin was amazing from start to finish! As soon as I did my trial hair appointment, I knew she was the one to do my hair. She listened to what I wanted and gave me even better results than what I was thinking. She is extremely personable, too!
For my wedding, she showed up on time, did a total of 4 hairstyles for my bridal party, and we all looked gorgeous! I highly recommend her!!

Amazing work
From the moment I messaged, she was very quick with her responses back to me with any questions I had and was super flexible with her availability. When my daughter (6) was a bit indecisive with what she wanted to do with her hair, she had picture examples to help her make a decision. Erin- did an amazing job on my hair and all my bridesmaids and flower girl. One of the Bridesmaids thought her hair wouldn't stay but it looked exactly the same as when Erin did it hours later. She is very responsibly priced, takes her times to make sure you are happy. No, extra charge to come to where you are the day of the wedding. I highly recommend Erin for your wedding you wont be disappointed. In addition its amazing that she does makeup as well and makes everyone look so natural but not washed out in pictures.

Amazing to work with!
Erin was wonderful to work with! She did an amazing job on everyone's hair and makeup. My hair stayed put all evening through all the dancing and even through some slight rain. She was so personable and helped keep the morning spent in the salon fun and smoothly running. I definitely recommend her for your hair and makeup needs!

The best!
I would give her 10000 stars if I could! Erin is the absolute best! Her team is professional, kind, amazing at what they do, and fast! She had our whole bridal squad done in half the time I thought it would take! Which meant we got to sleep in more and didn’t have to rush to get dressed afterwards! She made all of us look and feel truly beautiful! You cannot go wrong choosing her!

Erin did all my bridesmaids hair and makeup in addition to mine and some relatives. My demo appointment with her was wonderful! She listened to all my requests and made me feel really relaxed. I left knowing I was going to look beautiful on my wedding day! A year later, my friends still talk about the shade of lipstick I wore, a shade that Erin created just for me. Highly recommend her to anyone looking to feel their best on any day!

had our wedding at Three Oaks, MI, which was 1.5hours from Chicago, and most of the hair and makeup artists I could find are from the Detroit area and charge a lot for travel fees and even hotel overnight. Then I realized Illinois was actually closer to our venue and found Erin. She was very responsive and professional from the beginning, and we all liked working with her. We don't have a car she she even came to our house for the trial for a small surcharge. Her prices are very reasonable and my bridesmaids and I agree that she did a great job. She's very nice, approachable and unpretentious. She also did both our hair and makeup in good time, about half hour each person. Unless you are looking for something very specific/ over the top, I will recommend Erin
